I can't remember if I posted it, but a while ago I made a list of all the books I wanted to read over the summer. We are about three weeks in (ohgawd) and here is the list of the ones I've read IN BOLD and the ones I still have to get around to reading, IN ITALICS.
Please note I'm only doing this because I have nothing else to do.
The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks
The Rules of Attraction by Bret Easton Ellis
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (half way through currently!)
A Study in Scarlet by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
The Road by Cormac McCarthy
The Informers by Bret Easton Ellis
Dracula by Bram Stoker
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
So far, my favourite has been The Time Traveler's Wife, by a long way. I'll probably read it again when I get it back from my hairdresser, who is currently borrowing it. The Wasp Factory was really good, but disgusting. The Rules of Attraction took me a while to get into, but eventually it got brilliant and I loved it. I liked how Bret Easton Ellis brought in characters from his other books, namely Clay from Less Than Zero and Patrick from American Psycho.
I've also been trying to watch a film at least once a day this week. So far I've re-watched Casino Royale, Iron Man, Watchmen and Batman Begins. I think today I'll watch The Dark Knight. I also ended up buying both Arctic Monkey's albums and the Watchmen soundtrack yesterday, as well as borrowing the Iron Man OST because although I've had it for a while on my iPod, it was ~ahem ripped ~ from la interneto.
Anyhoo, right now I'm debating going for a shower, and then a walk somewhere, because I'm bored of being inside.
