This Wednesday is the Wednesday I've been planning for quite a while now. Well, since biscuits became the compulsory addition to English. And, because I may be going to see Iron Man 2 on Thursday omgomgomgomgomg I finally got to make the special Iron Man biscuits that I've been waiting to bake since I found out the week of the release. They were a bit of a faff, and a couple of them have lost legs and one snapped in three places, but I imagine they'll be knocked around a bit on the way to school anyway.

The point is - they are Iron Man. They are edible. They are supercool.

I apologise for a lack of posts. Nothing interesting has really happened in the last week.

However, today was the birthday of Jess Faye Cunliffe. This explains why I'm lying on my bed typing this dressed from the waist up as the Cheshire Cat, including ears and whiskers, and wearing comfy pyjama bottoms from the waist down due to excessive party food eating. It was awesome and fun and very cool. Thank you Jess, and welcome to the eighteenth year of life.



I have a load of work to do tomorrow, including revision for this Lysistrata mock question rubbish we're doing on Monday in Drama, and typing up a bibliography for English c/wk.

HOW AM I EXPECTED TO CONCENTRATE WHEN IRON MAN 2 COMES OUT NEXT WEEK?
IT'S TOTALLY OUT OF ORDER FOR THE SCHOOL TO ASSUME I'LL BE ANYWHERE NEAR MY USUAL LEVELS OF COMPLETE AND UTTER CONCENTRATION.

I am going to be a giggly, hysterical, excitable mess at the end of this week.
But do you know what? I don't care.

In another mad fit of productiveness, I finally got round to actually putting up my Merlin 2010 Calendar! Yay! And to reward me for doing this, Prince Arthur was there to greet me. Not in person, on the page thing. I also filled it in for the month of April, though you probably can't see that from this picture.



In other news, I did another page of Twelfth Night highlighty-revision. I'd like to say I'm learning a lot about Elizabethan theatre, but I think that actually, I have a long way to go before I'm prepared to go on Mastermind with it as my specialist subject.



So that's that. I thought I'd do photos today because I don't really do them ever and my blog was looking sparse. Tonight, I'm going to go to bed but not before reading an interview with Karen Gillan that I've been saving to read all day. Also, I bought some new headphones that are, apparently, Kiwi Green and I also got the Radiohead album Pablo Honey because although the Best Of album is £4.99 on the HMV website, it was actually £16 in the shop. Harrumph.

I've actually had a pretty good day today. It didn't start off well; I got up early in order to be at the gym at 8, but it freed me up for the rest of the day so I guess it was useful. I got home, had a quick shower and got dressed and waited for Katie to pick me up in her car to go to the park for a picnic in the park with everyone which was very very nice.

I guess it was just a really lovely change to actually spend a day sitting out in the sun, without having to worry about anything. As a result, I ate way too much, but that's cool. Who says no to cherry bakewells? Not me, that's who. But yes, there was music and food and cricket, apparently.

Also, I discovered I have a 'sports face', which I'm sure Laura would be happy to demonstrate for you when she sees you next. Oh, and Katie can't catch either.

I need to buy some new headphones and The Hives album and the Radiohead album because I need some new music in my life.

In a bizarre turn of events, spending all day out and chilling somehow made me come home and actually do some revision. So I wrote out a load of notes on Elizabethan theatre and the original performance conditions of Twelfth Night. And highlighted the important bits, which, unfortunately, turned out to be pretty much all of it.

I was up at 5:30 this morning. My nose has stopped functioning like a normal nose and I keep sneezing. However, risotto for dinner tonight, and that's always a good thing.

Doctor Who was very very good, unfortunately the creepiness of the Smilers was lost on me slightly as the angry and sad Doctor began to come through. Which actually made me go very tense and worry about what was going to happen Amy and no, don't shout Doctor! and no, don't kill the Star Whale!

But yes, angry Doctor was very hard to watch especially as he's all new and shiny, but I'm excited as it'll give us all a different and interesting personality spin to explore and connect with. Which is the whole point of Doctor Who, really, that with each incarnation there is this fantastic new personality but deep down there is the lonely traveller. The question is - how long will it take for him to surface?

Not very long, apparently. And I'm very excited to see what Matt Smith does with it.
